The last Heard Word of the season is proud to feature a very special guest. As the Founder of the Bournemouth Writing Prize, the creator of the MA in Creative Writing and Publishing and a lead organiser for the Bournemouth Writing Festival’s Writing Sanctuaries, Emma has been a champion of creative writing in many forms. She is also a gifted painter, editor, workshop facilitator and educator.

A bit more about our Featured Guest:
Emma Scattergood is a writer, facilitator and walking artist, currently exploring the connections between creativity, nature and our sense of self. Her exhibition Grounded, opens on April 29 at The Fine Foundation Gallery, Swanage.
Previously Emma was writer/editor for book and magazine publishing houses, and a lecturer in Writing, Editing and Publishing at Bournemouth University, where she launched the MA Creative Writing & Publishing and Fresher Publishing.
She has a BA in English &History of Art from University of Southampton and an MA in Creative & Critical Writing from University of Winchester . She lives on the Dorset/Somerset border.
