Bradford Gyori, Editor in Chief
Brad is the Programme Leader of the MA in Creative Writing and Publishing and has worked as a writer-producer for MTV, VH1, E!, FX and HBO Online, and he was the Head Writer of the EMMY winning Talk Soup. His fiction has been published in The Ghost Story, Café Irreal, Coffin Bell, The Mystery Tribune and others. Abbey Woolgar, Managing Editor
Abbey is a PhD researcher at Bournemouth University and a MACWP graduate. Her memoir Just Another Mum, about raising twins on the autistic spectrum, inspired her current research. She is the author of Out of Sight, Out of Mind: The Abysmal Octogenarians, Little Wings, Big Dreams, The Moon Blinked Back, and the Spin Cycle Squad series, among others. Her writing celebrates humour, resilience, and the joy of human connection.
Mike Garley, Fiction Editor
Mike is the EMMY-nominated writer of Adventure Time, Wallace and Gromit, and Image Comics’ 24 panels anthology, as well as creator-owned projects The Kill Screen, Samurai Slasher, and Our Final Halloween. Mike has consulted on Transmedia storytelling for beActive Media, developed game concepts with Masters of Pie, and Wickety Splits, and has contributed articles to Comic Heroes, and The UK Scriptwriters Survival Handbook: or How to Earn an Actual Living as a Writer.
Sebastian Lewis, Poetry Editor
Baz is a writer from Dorset, and The Story Works’ inaugural Young Poet Laureate for Bournemouth (2025-26). His work has been published in ANMLY, Eche, Full House, and elsewhere. They have also worked in collaboration with Lyra Poetry Festival, The Poetry Society, and the Oxford Poetry Library to help make words happen.
Amy Scott-Ringrow, Outreach Editor
Amy is a Doctoral Researcher who teaches post-production and TV studio production within the media production department at Bournemouth University. Her research explores the impact of US Culture Wars on popular culture. She graduated from the MA Creative Writing and Publishing course in 2021 and returned as a PTHP lecturer in 2023, having completed her PGCE.
Saeed Rashid, Art Director
Saeed is an award-winning photographer based on the south coast of England. He is a Fourth Element Team Diver, the Underwater Photography Editor for Scubaverse, and a technical tutor at Bournemouth University. Since 2015 he has supervised the art direction of all publishing outputs produced by MACWP including the annual Bournemouth Writing Prize Anthology.
Nick Gray, Newsletter Editor
Nick is a lecturer and researcher in digital media and communication at Bournemouth University. His practice-based research explores how community media and participatory storytelling can support people from minoritised communities to challenge and reframe dominant media narratives. He runs collaborative film and digital storytelling projects that foreground voice, agency, and social justice.
Emmaneulla Ejime, Marketing Director
Ella is a Lecturer in Marketing and Communications at Bournemouth University, with expertise in digital marketing, brand strategy, and consumer behaviour. She holds an LL.B , LL.M (International Commercial Law), MBA (Global Strategy & Entrepreneurship, Distinction), and a PhD in Marketing. Her research focuses on digital communication, consumer trust, and multi-channel engagement across industries.
Dale Hurst, Podcast Host
Dale is a novelist and short story writer, specialising in historical fiction, crime, mystery and black comedy. He independently published his mystery series, The Berylford Scandals, starting with the novel, Lust & Liberty, in 2018, followed by its sequel, Sin & Secrecy, in 2020. His nonfiction works focus on arts and entertainment, food, finance, and human-interest. Dale is a graduate of Solent University, Southampton. He earned his Master’s in Creative Writing and Publishing from BU in 2021.
Daniela Mela, Website Designer
Daniela has been a content editor for Caterpillar, eBay, and Google. A Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, she has taught at Arts University Bournemouth and Bournemouth University, where she is also pursuing a PhD focused on Real-time Animation and Education. Passionate about promoting equality and international cooperation, she works as a designer and film director with charities across the UK, USA, and Europe.
