Abbey Woolgar, 18th Dec, 2024

What’s so funny about psychotic squirrels and pensioners trapped in an undersea care home? Ask Abbey Woolgar. Her darkly comedic stylings will be on riotous display when she’s the Featured Writer on our special holiday edition of Heard Word brought to you by Bournemouth University’s MA in Creative Writing and Publishing. Bust out those ugly jumpers and join us on Wednesday the 18th of December from 5-7PM on Zoom. After this, we go dark for six weeks, so this is your last chance to have your words heard until February. To get Abbey’s feedback on your work sign up to be one of our presenting writers. There are both 20-minute (1500 words) and 5-minute (700 word “lighting round”) slots available. You can sign up here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1TfI5-xPmYLDnFShsToUoJhN9WscH_AUEjb7RFlcsq5w/edit?usp=sharing

Even if you aren’t presenting, please join us to offer feedback. Here is the link. https://bournemouth-ac-uk.zoom.us/j/85437743352?pwd=ZGtnWThSM1YwQ1o0YVRoRVZCc3h1UT09
