A bit more about our Featured Writer:
Sade Fadipe is a children’s author, educator, and creative producer passionate about storytelling that empowers young minds. She holds a BA (Hons) in English Linguistics (with a minor in Arabic), a PGCE in Primary Education, and an MA in Creative Writing & Publishing from Bournemouth University (2023).
Author of Snowy Joy and co-producer of its stage adaptation, Snowy Joy & The Toysavers, Sade draws on her dual heritage, crafting narratives inspired by her experiences in both England and Nigeria. After 15 years in mainstream teaching, she took a career break, traveling to northern Nigeria, where she scripted A Fun ABC—released in the U.S. as A Visit to Grandad—a book widely praised for celebrating African culture and promoting literacy.
With expertise in teaching and curriculum development, Sade skilfully blends cultural heritage with universal themes of empathy, social harmony, and imagination. A director at Essex Book Festival, she recently founded a CIC to champion annual literature fanfares and support ethnically diverse authors. Through literature, drama, and music, she remains committed to bridging cultures and inspiring young audiences worldwide.
